Why parent apps fail
Every school has tried a parent app. They get good adoption for the first month, then it drops to 15% by term two and zero by year two. Parents do not download apps for things they only need three times a term. They want everything to come to them on the channel they are already on, and that channel is WhatsApp.
Edunile is built around this reality. Every parent-facing communication — fee bills, payment reminders, attendance alerts, report cards, school announcements, emergency notices — flows through WhatsApp Business. Parents never sign in to anything. They just receive a message.
WhatsApp Business templates, approved by Meta
Edunile uses WhatsApp Business API templates approved by Meta, which means the messages are deliverable, traceable, and not flagged as spam. We have approved templates for every common school workflow: fee bill, payment confirmation, payment reminder, attendance alert, report card delivery, broadcast announcement, admission status, and more.
Each template includes the school’s name and brand identifier. Parents see "Edunile-powered school" rather than an unfamiliar brand. Replies route to the school, not to Edunile.
Broadcast announcements without spam
Need to tell every parent that school resumes Tuesday? Use the Broadcast feature to send a templated message to your whole parent body, a single class, or an arm — in seconds. The system batches sends to comply with WhatsApp throughput limits, tracks delivery, and gives you a per-message read receipt status.
Plans include term-based message allowances (250 messages on Growth, 750 on Professional) so schools can budget broadcast usage. Most schools use far less than their cap.
One-on-one messaging when needed
For class-teacher-to-parent conversations, Edunile supports threaded one-on-one messaging from the parent’s record. Conversations are logged and visible to school admins for audit, which protects both teachers and parents from disputes.
